Corporate History
The Princeton Review is one of the world's leading test preparation companies. Every year, it helps millions of students navigate standardized tests and school admissions processes. This is accomplished via a comprehensive suite of test prep courses, books, software and webt-based services.
The company was founded in 1981 when John Katzman prepared 15 students to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test ("SAT") in New York City. The program, which he dubbed "The Princeton Review", offered an intensive six-week preparation course featuring small classes, detailed computer analyses of test performances, and a systematic approach to achieving higher test scores. Today, The Princeton Review is represented by offices in over 41 states in the United States and 12 countries around the world.
Although much has changed since then, the focus of the company remains the same: TPR will deliver a premier learning experience with guaranteed results through
- Small, personalized classes
- Innovative material
- Knowledgeable, dynamic instructors
- Proven test-taking strategies
- Technological tools
By combining cutting edge technology with the company's test expertise, The Princeton Review has led the way in developing new products and innovative ways of using online tools to help students raise their scores on standardized tests. Students can now take test preparation courses in the classroom, online, or they may mix and match these as their needs dictate.

About Us
The Princeton Review Thailand opened it doors in May 1995, offering courses to prepare for the SAT I and TOEFL. Today, like other Princeton Review offices worldwide, we offer a complete range of test preparation courses that include SSAT, SAT I, SAT II, ACT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and LSAT. The Thailand office ALSO offers courses to improve the English language skills that are required for study at international programs in Thailand or at educational institutions overseas. We call these our "Foundation English" courses, and they focus on basic skills such as speaking and listening, vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing. Our writing courses range from writing simple paragraphs to writing complete essays; from writing business documents to writing research papers.
Recognizing the specific needs of ESL students, our courses are tailored to help students improve their skills utilizing the same criteria that have proven successful for the manstream Princeton Review:
- Small, personalized classes
- Innovative material
- Expert, dynamic instructors
In addition to formal classes, The Princeton Review Thailand also offers personalized, one-to-one tutoring and counseling services. Tutoring is available for all standardized tests as well as specific academic subjects. Our counselors provide high school, college and graduate students with a comprehensive range of resources to assist them in making the best educational and career decisions.
The Princeton Review Thailand also offers professional courses for corporate clients. We tailor the course content and structure to meet the unique needs of the company, and can hold classes either on our premises or in classrooms provided by the company. Our instructors are veteran educators who have proven themselves in the classroom and have received the highest evaluations.
